G Adventures head office is located in Toronto, Canada. They are quickly growing and need to expand their capacity. Previously occupying 3 full floors, they are now taking all 5 floors of their downtown brick and beam building. G Adventures recently relocated their London office to better suit the growing size of the region. We created an entirely new work environment, including a new kitchen, casual meeting areas, themed meeting rooms and work space for 65 people. The project relied on us to create the floor plan and desk plan, select themes and furniture to create the desired style and design. Kitchen layout with cabinetry and fully functional casual areas were created to theme around an English garden.…

The second (or third) version of the Carbon Lunch Box has a better securing system and, more importantly, a lid that opens automatically. This version fits up to 8 gels, or a combination of gels and bars. The idea to create a lid that was spring loaded came to me while trying to come up with a good solution to cover the opening. It was as easy as adding an extra extension to the lid that was hinged with rivets.…

A recent trip to bike the back roads of Cuba with G Adventures turned out to be an exciting trip into rural towns and contrasting busy cities. The route took us west from Havana, as far as Viñales and through the towns of Soroa, Las Terrazas, La Palma and Cayo Jutias. This is a custom designed awards cabinet made for the G Adventures office in Toronto. It maximized the useable space and helps highlight individual awards by giving each one a shadowbox frame effect. The cabinet was hand made by master carpenters and recessed in a 8' x 8' opening in the wall. It was lacquered for a high gloss purple and white finish, matching the adjacent custom kitchen cabinets and the companies corporate colours.

This was a recent trip to Thailand to experience one of G Adventures sailing trips first hand. We are launching a new type of trip with the addition of Catamarans. The experience on board each ship has to be re imagined.
