QUALIFICATIONS

EVERT LAMB

Design Director

With over 35 years racing triathlons, Evert has spent his 10,000 hours getting aero and putting power to pedals. He has also spent another 10,000 working to develop the fastest positions, equipment and techniques to help riders go as fast and as far as possible. With a strong background in understanding body geometry, bike fit, cycling equipment, aerodynamics and the physical requirements of training and racing all triathlon distances (from sprint to Ironman) he knows exactly what it takes to turn potential into real world results. In his 20+ years of design and marketing he has helped develop and launch products that span many industries including apparel, bikes, adventure gear, outerwear, camp equipment and adventure travel.

RICHARD MATTHEWS

P.Eng. | Lead Engineer

Richard is a composites engineer with a strong background in analysis and product development. With experience spanning high-performance sports equipment, structural components and FEA-driven design optimisation, Richard specializes in guiding projects from early concept through to validated, production-ready solutions. He brings deep expertise in laminate schedule development, bonded joint design, simulation and process selection. Richard has worked on many of the most innovative high performance composite bicycle designs of the past 15 years. In addition he has worked in the aerospace, automotive and consumer electronics industries to deliver high performance products that exceed expectations.

DONNY FAIRBORNE

Manufacturing Lead

Donny has very broad experience in the cycling industry. He has helped build start-up bike brands and distribution companies, worked with several retailers and helped steer the production side of several companies. His focus has largely been on the e-commerce and digital systems that help scale businesses to multi-million dollars annual revenues. He is now taking his knowledge from digital to physical and getting hands-on in the manufacturing side of the industry. A maker at heart with big ideas in his head and the skills to build just about anything.

ZACK FINE

BASc | Mechanical Engineer

Zack Fine holds a BASc in Robotics Engineering from the University of Toronto and is currently pursuing his master’s in Mechanical Engineering. As the former captain of U of T’s Human Powered Vehicle Design Team, he led efforts to build the world’s fastest, most aerodynamic bikes. He also brings hands-on experience with carbon fiber bike design and composites manufacturing. An avid cyclist, Zack is passionate about all forms of biking—from mountain and gravel to road and track.

ANDY XU

CFD | Mechanical Engineer

Andy has a strong background in physics and computational design. He is currently completing his master’s thesis in mechanical engineering at the University of Waterloo, where his research focuses on modeling wildfire smoke and wind impacts using CFD. Outside of academics, he is an avid athlete who recently qualified for the Duathlon World Championships.
