Monarch Treks is a small travel company that basses all its tours around travel by bicycle. Trips also include kayaking, hiking, surfing and snorkelling. Monarch has developed a travel system that they call “The Hub System”, where you are based out of a central location, and take short trips out to visit the surrounding areas.

I worked on creating an iconic image that could represent an emotion and concept of what it is like to tour a foreign country by bike. We wanted to convey the active nature of the trip, but didn’t want to make it look too extreme. After all, if you can ride a bike, you would be able to take a Monarch trip.
