The second (or third) version of the Carbon Lunch Box has a better securing system and, more importantly, a lid that opens automatically. This version fits up to 8 gels, or a combination of gels and bars. The idea to create a lid that was spring loaded came to me while trying to come up with a good solution to cover the opening. It was as easy as adding an extra extension to the lid that was hinged with rivets.…

G Adventures recently relocated their London office to better suit the growing size of the region. We created an entirely new work environment, including a new kitchen, casual meeting areas, themed meeting rooms and work space for 65 people. The project relied on us to create the floor plan and desk plan, select themes and furniture to create the desired style and design. Kitchen layout with cabinetry and fully functional casual areas were created to theme around an English garden.…

A recent trip to bike the back roads of Cuba with G Adventures turned out to be an exciting trip into rural towns and contrasting busy cities. The route took us west from Havana, as far as Viñales and through the towns of Soroa, Las Terrazas, La Palma and Cayo Jutias. The terrain varied from open coastal roads to some of the highest mountain passes on the island. The landscape also varied through the 6 days as well. Lush foggy valleys…

This is a custom designed awards cabinet made for the G Adventures office in Toronto. It maximized the useable space and helps highlight individual awards by giving each one a shadowbox frame effect. The cabinet was hand made by master carpenters and recessed in a 8' x 8' opening in the wall. It was lacquered for a high gloss purple and white finish, matching the adjacent custom kitchen cabinets and the companies corporate colours.

This was a recent trip to Thailand to experience one of G Adventures sailing trips first hand. We are launching a new type of trip with the addition of Catamarans. The experience on board each ship has to be re imagined. Which includes the physical space, but also the feelings and memories each traveller takes with them.   This video and series of photos captures the experience while Sailing the islands off Phuket, Thailand with G Adventures. This was a test to see if I could put 50 different designs together for buildings made only with a maximum of 6 40' containers and 6 20' containers. After I did 50, I thought why not do 100. I assembled each one, photographed it, took it down and built the next as quick as possible. A test in efficiency and fast decision making. I am very interested in re using containers as homes. They are abundant, inexpensive, durable and…

in a state...ambiguous Gabriel is a writer trying to pen the perfect story, and Wigworm is an ear-wig that wants some lunch. Together they collaborate on what qualities make up perfection. But their creation, Kyle, turns out to be gay. Did God make him this way? Panic and Hysteria appear and start creating characters too. As Gabriel wrestles with his demons, Kyle fends off the fictional women in his life. Will they be able to reconcile their hopes and desires with…

Since I have had this phone for over a year, I figured I should start using some of the native tools, and maybe even download some apps. I have used it for music and playing the occasional game and even as a phone, but the camera was only ever used when a proper hand held wasn't available. The images are too low rez, the light sensor blows and I usually can't bring myself to being one of those people holding…

It is always worth getting up early. Whether it is for a nice cup of coffee, an early bike or a canoe on a calm lake, it is better before everyone else wakes. We took advantage of the nice morning weather to snap a few pics while camping up near Parry Sound. The rain rolled in soon after and killed our lighting, but we managed a few goodies in time.
