On a snowy day this week, I decided it would be best to ride cross town and visit Klaus by Nienkamper. I hadn’t been for a few years, and wanted to catch up on the new designs they had at their multi leveled show room at 300 King st. East.

When you first walk in, there is a lone pig to greet you. I wanted him to follow me through the store, but he stayed in his place. You can choose to go to the right, and follow the window line to the eastern wing, or to the left, towards the famed Spirit House chair, with the cushion I might add.

Marisa greets me from behind the sales counter, and agrees to show me around the whole place. I appreciate her help, as I would have gotten myself lost, not being found for days. She walks me around, pointing out peices by Artifort, Emeco, Tom Dixon and Nienkamper
. I’m floored. The use of glass, leather and steel are amazing, I’m inspired beyond belief.

I get some catalogues and brochures to study, thank Marisa for her hospitality and I’m on my way. Back to my Biomega, and the blowing snow outside.
